Feb. 1 Local Chili’s Restaurants Designate as Brenner Children’s Hospital Day WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Diners at two Chili’s restaurant locations in Winston-Salem can support Brenner Children’s Hospital, part of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, with their meal purchases on Monday, Feb. 1. Chili’s restaurants located at 100 Stratford Commons Court and 348 East Hanes Mill Road will donate 10 percent of qualifying sales that day to Brenner Children’s Hospital. In order for their purchase to qualify, customers must present a printed flier at the time of purchase that notes the charitable contribution. Copies of the flier are available for download online at www.brennerchildrens.org . The offer applies to dine-in and take-out orders.

KORNER’S FOLLY PARANOMAL BOOK CLUB
: 6:30-7:30pm, Korner’s Folly (Kernersville), $40. Led by Iris Carter, the book club will conduct its first session on A Paranormal Casebook: Ghost Hunting in the New Millennium by Loyd Auerbach. Participants will be encouraged to discuss various aspects of the book, compare its information to investigations at Körner’s Folly, and to share their personal experiences, insights, and beliefs. For the love of books…What better month than February to promote literacy and offer A Used Book Sale To the Community. Imprints will host an array of books for the old and young alike. Proceeds will go to supplement our before/after school program scholarship fund.
