Living With History: A Look at Laster’s Fine Art & Antiques

After 40 years in the art and antiquities business, the Lasters are experts. They’ve facilitated hundreds of estate sales, including Maya Angelou’s, and they’ve educated thousands on the history of various antiques. Laster’s Fine Arts & Antiques, owned by father-son team Larry and Ryan Laster, has been the Triad’s trusted resource for the finer things of art and antiques since 2011.

The Heritage of Quality Antiques

Buying a piece of furniture at Laster’s isn’t just about the furniture. It’s about an appreciation of heritage and craftsmanship. Ryan Laster shared, “The quality of yesteryear endures. Each piece that comes to our store is a piece that has withstood the test of time and will continue to serve for years to come.”

And with almost 2,000 square feet of retail space, there’s plenty of history and art to be absorbed! Laster’s is a veritable playground for any history buff who enjoys browsing quality antiques and admiring fine art. “These are one-of-a-kind pieces,” said Ryan. “We appreciate the wisdom of investing in quality pieces because you get what you pay for. People know this.”

An Ever-Changing Inventory

Laster’s Fine Art & Antiques offers a wide variety of options – from furniture to books to antique maps…even a selection of jewelry and home accessories.

“We are constantly getting new pieces,” said Ryan. “Since we aren’t a box store, everything we sell is unique, making it a great place to shop for those who want high quality and unique furnishings in their home. We have a lot of people who visit us, who visit simply because they know our ever-changing inventory promises to bring increasingly rare opportunities to admire and appreciate antiques close up and personal!”

Estate Sales

Laster’s Fine Art & Antiques offer estate tag sales. Different than estate auctions, an estate tag sale takes place over a series of designated days, and everything is tagged, and priced to sell.

“Estate tag sales,” shared Ryan, “are a great way to handle everything from the furniture to the pots and pans, including the living room curtains and guest bedroom sheets.”

Laster’s Fine Art & Antiques is the place to go if you’re looking for something unique that tells a story. If the walls of Laster’s could talk, oh, the stories they could share from the pieces that have passed through the store!
