It’s here! The Pumpkin Spice Latte, or PSL, the fall staple that everyone seems to love to hate! ‘Tis the season for this festive and seasonal latte but if you want to make your own at home, we have your back!
One advantage of making your own PSL is having the peace of mind that this version has actual pumpkin and does not require a fancy espresso machine, not to mention it can spare you a few bucks and a wait in the drive thru line. So, go ahead, make this year-round if you like! And don’t forget the whipped cream.
1 ½ tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
½ cup (4 ounces) strongly brewed coffee
½ cup (4 ounces) milk – I recommend 2% or more
- In a saucepan, add all your ingredients.
- Stir and bring the ingredients to as simmer.
- Take the saucepan off the heat and pour into mug.
- Top with whipped cream and cinnamon or additional pumpkin pie spice.
