Accent Prone:  Endless Inspiration

BY MARTIE EMORY

From cozy vignettes of home décor that you can easily visualize your family relaxing in, to unique jewelry and on-trend apparel to spice up your wardrobe and delight those on your holiday gift list, Accent Prone in Kernersville delivers endless inspiration when it comes to living, dressing, and lavishing yourself with style.

Their carefully appointed retail shop – recently expanded and spacious enough to now feature a Design Center – has always been a labor of love for founders and designers Justin and Cheri Lingafelt, and as another new year approaches, the sky’s the limit for the talented husband and wife duo. Blending their individual expertise and backgrounds in design, detail, and creative entrepreneurship into a winning team came naturally: Justin’s family is in furniture, and Cheri’s father is a jeweler! Complete with the best staff ever, the two are excitedly approaching a future of great finds for their loyal customers and a hardy calendar of design projects.

“We can design your home from start-to-finish and accent your personal style from head-to-toe,” says Cheri, offering the perfect description of the Accent Prone mission.

Now, with the additional 2,000 square feet in their retail home, the Accent Prone Design Center offers tons of fabrics, custom upholstery, wallpaper, lighting, and furniture – adding new higher-end pieces, too, as well as still carrying a diverse collection of High Point Market samples. “You can choose pieces right off the floor at the store, visit the warehouse that is open on select Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., or now, sit down with us, have coffee or a glass of wine, and utilize our professional design services to create the space of your dreams,” explains Cheri.

There’s rarely a dull moment at Accent Prone, and you’re likely to spy Cheri and Justin’s adorable three-year-old son skipping through the store while you’re in awe of so many unique items at every turn throughout the space. Believing your home and your appearance should both reflect your own creative side, Cheri and Justin love matching clients with one-of-a-kind ideas and products.

The larger boutique area at the new retail location has also allowed them to launch Accent Prone the Label – their own clothing line – destined to be a success and a fun new addition for holiday shoppers. As always, the boutique side is filled with the most fashionable and unique jewelry pieces to treat yourself or surprise a friend, and since it’s the season for gift cards, those are available as well.

A given at Accent Prone is that new items arrive weekly, so you’re always in for a surprise – and definitely a collection of accessories and furniture pieces you haven’t seen before. So this time of year, you can add a few items to your home holiday décor while also marking some names off your gift list. For Cheri and Justin, their mission has always been about family, which means raising their son and growing a business in their hometown has been a dream come true. Giving back to the community through a variety of projects also fills their time, while sharing their design talents with clients, whom they also encourage to live their very best lives!
