Bringing Our World Together with BTV-Beyond The Virus

A Local + International Creative Collaboration

Perfect for the gift-giving season this December, singer/songwriter/musician, Susan B. B. Schumacher, and her team of local and international musical collaborators are releasing Susan’s 5th full-length, world music album about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) called BTV – Beyond The Virus.

BTV includes profound and moving spiritual songs, as well as lighthearted, funny, and comedic parody songs to lift spirits, bring smiles to faces, lighten lives with laughter and offer fresh hope for now and the future!

CREATIVE COLLABORATIONS

In the album, Susan collaborates with musicians and vocalists from over 25 different countries, ranging from A to Z – Austria all the way to Zimbabwe – and many other countries in between. The worldwide collaborators range from local talent to well-known Grammy award winners and nominees.

Reflecting its global influence, the songs embrace universal genres, including pop, rock, blues, hip hop, rap, folk, country, Latin, jazz, and Christian contemporary. Passages sung in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, and German add to the international flavor.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS

In addition to worldwide musical collaborations, this special recording project supports two charitable non-profits, one local and one international. The first non-profit, W-S (Winston-Salem) Foundation, serves our local community, while the second, Heart to Heart International, provides humanitarian relief both in the US and worldwide.

BTV – BEYOND THE VIRUS – ARTS + CRAFTS

Along with musical collaborations, the BTV project is selling organically inspired and uniquely handcrafted original art and jewelry, all heartfully handmade by dedicated artists donating their artistic gifs to support the lives of those affected by coronavirus.

“This is a team effort that involves visual arts, in addition to the original music,” said Susan. “The main theme is to reflect different people from different places and the whole planet coming together for a greater purpose and providing humanitarian relief.”

BEYOND THE VIRUS ALBUM ART

The album cover art will celebrate the worldwide theme. Headshots of the musical collaborators will grace the BTV cover art in a musically masked montage. All performers are equal and valued, and their images will be cropped with the same background.

BTV – BEYOND THE VIRUS – TEA BLENDS BY TEA-LATION!

Susan also has a local, woman, minority-owned tea business, Tea-lation! (Tea-lation.com and @Tealation on FB + IN) that is supporting this special project by contributing proceeds from sales to support the charities.

Susan created two BTV – Beyond The Virus tea blends to represent people of the world coming together. In honor of the locals, she is also offering two favorite blends, W-S (Winston-Salem) Green Tea Blend and PT (Piedmont Triad) Herbal Tea Blend (caffeine-free).

“I wanted to include four main races of people – including African, Asian, Caucasian, and Latin/Hispanic, so the tea ingredients I chose for the BTV – Beyond The Virus blends represent each group of people, harmoniously orchestrated,” said Susan. The BTV AM tea blend contains some caffeine with organic assam black tea, sencha green tea, coconut flakes, and mango extract. The BTV PM tea blend is caffeine-free, sleep-friendly, and includes organic cinnamon, ginger, coconut flakes, and lime. “I can honestly and proudly say these are two of my fav tea blends! I hope – with all my heart – you will also enjoy them and share, sip your cuppa happy!”

GIVE GIFTS THAT GIVE BACK!

“We pray and hope our special gifts that give back will be at the top of your Christmas wish list,” said Susan. “They are perfect for your stocking or under the tree, ready to be unwrapped and shared with glee.”

“And,” she continued, “as our song titles suggest, together we can ‘Avoid Coronavirus’ while feeling like we ‘Can’t Take Much More,’ but remembering that it is ‘Up To You and Me.’ Remember, we are always ‘Together In Spirit,’ so let us ‘Come Together’ as the Beatles sang in one of their songs and ‘Let Us Unite.’

“Support many lives by purchasing BTV – Beyond The Virus, BTV arts and crafts, and Tea-lation! tea blends as gifts for yourself and loved ones,” said Susan. “Enjoy heartful, happy holidays, with love and blessings from all our collaborators!” Embrace this ideal time for gift giving and give gifts that give back!
