Fashion for the Forsyth Woman: Evelyn Rose Boutique

BY ERIKA TAYLOR

This month I’m taking y’all inside Evelyn Rose Boutique in Winston-Salem. This local gem of a boutique is one that offers contemporary, feminine, classic, and affordable clothes that make women feel beautiful and confident. They have looks that will keep you confident and styled all summer long!

First up is this floral dress. I cannot say enough great things about this dress. It is beautiful, so soft, and my favorite versatile! I styled it with a gorgeous pair of neutral wedges (also from Evelyn Rose Boutique), however, it could also be styled with sneakers for a more casual look, as well as boots with a denim jacket in the fall. The smocked top and sleeve detail level up this dress the perfect amount.

This next look says Someone take me to a resort!” You know – all the vacay vibes. The pants are lightweight, high-waisted, and have a sassy slit on the side (comes up to about your knee, depending on your height). I styled them with this white linen tank, but they also have a matching tank to make this a set. I chose the white top to change it up and added these white strappy-heeled sandals. These are THE shoe of the summer. They wrap and tie just above your ankle and can be worn with so many different looks including a look like this along with a dress, skirt, or even jeans and a simple tank. If you care for more of a flat, you can certainly pair of white or nude sandals with this look!

In addition to the shoes, this purse really ties the whole look together. You will find bags similar to this one throughout the summer and into the fall.

This is the look that keeps on giving, y’all. Not only can you wear this top like you see above, but you can also change it up and turn it around. Yes, you read that correctly, as you see below, you can also make this resort-like top a little edgy by wearing it backwards on purpose.

Now you have one top that can be worn even more ways. If you’re feeling a little more sassy, you can turn this top around so that the zipper is in the front and pair it with denim or leather shorts and/or a lighter wash of mom jeans. Such a fun look for a date night or girls night out!

This next look is the one for a brunch or daytime date. The tank top is soft, flattering, under $30, AND it comes in multiple colors (seriously, I want every color). I paired it with this skort, yes this is a skirt with shorts built in underneath. This skort also comes in multiple colors. Both pieces pair perfectly with sneakers, sandals, or wedges. If you’re like me and you know that there’s even a slight chance you could get chilly, you bring a light jacket just in case. That light jacket’s name is Denim and she looks great with this type of look as well!

Next up we have a casual, everyday type look for summer.

This is the same top from the previous look, but in a creamsicle-tangerine type color. This particular top came home with me and I style it with denim shorts like you see above, as well as white or eggshell colored pants and tan sandals. The thin straps and square neckline make this top a flattering one for all.

Evelyn Rose Boutique is the perfect place to pick up a new outfit for yourself or to grab a cute accessory to give as a gift. Be sure to check them out when you’re in Winston-Salem! You can also shop online at https://www.shopevelynroseboutique.com/

Happy shopping!
