Hip Chics Boutique

This month we’re heading to Clemmons over to Hip Chics Boutique. Hip Chics has been slaying the boutique game for 15 years now. What started out as a booth is now a thriving 5,000 square foot brick and mortar. Hip Chics Boutique is proof to us all that if you believe in yourself and your vision, that great things are in store for you (no pun intended).

Now let’s talk outfits! This first dress is perfect for this time of year, and it can be styled numerous ways, which we love.

The question is, what’s not to love about this dress? The dusty floral print, the square neckline, the puff detail sleeve, and the lightweight material (a must in the heat this time of year). Where are we wearing this dress? Date night, concert, baby shower, brunch, farmer’s market – take your pick!

As you can see, I styled this dress with white platform sneakers, but you could also pair it with tan wedges or sandals and even a pair of cowboy boots. The clutch you see is also from Hip Chics. They have a great selection of accessories to choose from to complete your looks!

This next look is a little more formal and calls for a pair of heels or wedges. When it comes to building your wardrobe, there are certain pieces that we all should have on hand and one of those is a good black jumpsuit (and/or dress). Of course, the more, the merrier, but if you have been on the search for a black jumpsuit – look no further y’all, because this one is it.

Is this jumpsuit not chef’s-kiss-perfection?! I absolutely love the pleated detail up top plus the waist is cinched just the right amount. Little reminder that I am on the shorter side (5’2”) and this length was great with a heel. I accessorized with these beautiful Sheila Fajl gold hoops and Hobo leopard clutch. Quick side note: 98% of the time, a pop of leopard with your outfit is always a good idea so I say add this to your list of closet must-haves!

Ladies, if you have an upcoming black-tie event or wedding weekend to attend, this is your look!

For our third look, we have this blue midi dress. The colors in this dress are so vibrant and welcome many options for accessories. I paired it with the same orange clutch from the first look and a neutral tan sandal. You could easily take this dress up a notch with a tan wedge and wear it to a shower or Friday night party of a wedding weekend. You could even make a more casual date night look by pairing it with a white sneaker.

Our last look from Hip Chics Boutique is one that can be carried into the fall season. Below are two more staples you’re going to want to add to your closet if you don’t already own them. A white (or light cream) bodysuit and a neutral blazer. It also wouldn’t hurt to grab a fun, bright blazer (if that is your cup of tea) for your closet as well. Lucky for y’all, Hip Chics has all of the above!

Neutral, versatile items of clothing are my love language. The limit literally does not exist on the amount of ways you can style a bodysuit and blazer like this. We love a classic blazer look with a pair of trousers or slim pixie type pants; however, do not fear a more casual look with a blazer like you see above. If denim shorts are not your thing, try a pair of jeans (skinny, boyfriend, mom, distressed, flare) blue, white, cream, or black. That’s like eight outfits in one sentence – and we haven’t even laid out all the shoe possibilities yet. I wanted to make a statement with my accessories for this one, so I chose this chunky necklace and triple medium hoop, both by Sheila Fajl. Now back to shoes. If you choose to wear a bodysuit and blazer like above with denim shorts or jeans, go with a neutral tan sandal or a white/neutral sneaker. If you are wearing jeans, trousers, or more of a pixie/work-pant, you could very well do a pair of neutral or leopard heels. Want to really step outside your comfort zone? Wear a blazer over an activewear set!

So, what have we learned today, ladies?

  1. Hip Chics Boutique has an excellent variety of clothing and accessories for women of all ages doing all the things in life.
  2. We all need a classic go-to black jumpsuit or dress in our closet.
  3. Leopard is our friend.
  4. We also need a good neutral blazer in our closet.

But seriously, Hip Chics Boutique has you covered for upcoming date nights, vacations, work/school, weddings, tailgates, day-to-day wear – pretty much everything! They also have an amazing gift section (seriously, I wanted one of everything). Candles, blankets, toys, personalized wedding gifts, drinkware, etc. Not to mention, the women who work there are so kind, personable, and love what they do.

If you go shopping at Hip Chics Boutique, be sure to tag them (@hipchicsboutique), Forsyth Magazine (@forsythmags), and me (@tayloringstyle) so we can see and share what you’re wearing.

Until next time, happy shopping!
