Joytime Ladies’ Event from Joytime Ministries

26-Joy-and-Mike-SFWIn 2012, Joy Greene officially began Joytime Ministries in Jackson, Tennessee. “I was invited to be a guest on the local Christian radio’s morning show to share my ‘God Story,’” said Greene. “The DJ could tell that I had a passion for women’s ministry and asked me if I would consider doing a daily devotional on the air to encourage their female listeners. I knew God was revealing to me a women’s ministry He wanted me to begin to encourage women in their walk with Him. From there, Joytime has grown and airs on more than 100 radio stations worldwide. You can hear Joytime locally on JoyFM and WBFJ-Your Family Station.”

When Joy moved back to her home state of North Carolina to become an Assistant Dean and Professor at High Point University, she knew this was God’s way of telling her she belonged here and could help women in this community through radio and speaking engagements. “In addition to radio, I have a passion for teaching and encouraging women at weekend retreats or one-night Christian events,” said Greene. “On June 18th, we are having a Joytime event for ladies with Mike Weaver of Big Daddy Weave and the new Christian music group, ‘I Am They.’ This event is open to ladies of all ages (although most appropriate for middle-school ages and up). This inspiring event will provide encouraging music and a Christ-centered message of support to the ladies. It is my heart’s desire that this event will provide a ‘girls’ night’ full of worship, relaxation and fun. As women, we have so many responsibilities at home, as well as in the work force. Often, women are busy taking care of others, and they neglect their own needs, even their spiritual needs. This event provides an opportunity for friends to refresh their souls and have a great time!”

With the support of the community, Joy has been able to bring hope and spiritual guidance to thousands of people, and the Joytime Ladies’ Event is just another way she is encouraging others. “This is a great event to promote unity among the ladies at your church,” said Greene. “What a fun, encouraging night you can have as you find encouragement through Christian music and a Godly message! It is our hope to plan additional Joytime events in the Triad! We are grateful to Chick-Fil-A of High Point for being our sponsor of this event, and we are also grateful to Piedmont Christian News and WBFJ-Your Family Station, for their support!”

The Joytime Ladies’ Event will be held on June 18th at 6:30pm at the First Wesleyan Church in High Point. Tickets can be purchased online at www.joytime.org.
