Midtown Cafe & Dessertery: 30 Years, Still Fresh and New!

For over 30 years, Midtown Cafe & Dessertery has been a community favorite for get-togethers with friends, dinner with the kids, business meetings, and more!  After all, when you serve breakfast all day long, have a great lunch and dinner menu, a case full of scratch-made cakes and delectable sweets – it’s pretty much a given that there’s something for everyone! And Midtown Cafe isn’t afraid to mix it up a bit, and offer new seasonal items on the menu!

So, what’s new at Midtown?

Brunch is in…  Let’s talk about Carolina Shrimp ‘n Grits.  This hearty meal has quickly become a guest favorite.  And it’s little wonder – seasoned grilled shrimp with bacon and sharp white cheddar is served over creamy, stone-ground grits and garnished with green onions.  Flavorful and with generous portions, the Carolina Shrimp ‘n Grits is a mouthwatering addition to Midtown’s great selection.

And what brunch is complete without a Mimosa or Bloody Mary?  Midtown’s Sake Bacon Bloody Mary definitely heats things up!

And when coffee lover meets pumpkin spice fan – it doesn’t get any better than Midtown’s Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino!  YUM!

New on the lunch menu…  Midtown’s crab cakes are so good that even The Little Mermaid’s Sebastian would agree… the crab cakes have migrated from dinner-only to the lunch-time menu and landed themselves on a sandwich! The new Crab Cake Sandwich is a seafood lover’s dream meal!  Lump crabmeat makes up the crab cake, which is served with lettuce, tomato, Midtown’s famous remoulade and served on a sesame seed bun!

And you’ve never had a chicken quesadilla quite like Midtown’s!  The BBQ Chicken Quesadilla adds a little more south to a southwestern favorite.  Seasoned chicken and bacon are served with cheddar cheese, grilled red onions, and apple BBQ sauce on a tomato basil tortilla.

What’s for dinner?  For the last several years, Midtown Café & Dessertery has diligently worked on expanding their dinner menu offerings, with special attention given to ensure that there’s something for every appetite.  From the kid-favorite Mac ‘n Cheese to comfort foods like Pot Roast, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and the classic Midtown Meatloaf…  To more inventive fare, including Cajun Alfredo and Buttermilk Squash Lasagna!  With so many options, you’ll have a hard time choosing!

Save room for dessert…  Midtown began as a dessertery, and they’ve never lost touch with their affinity for sweets!  Red Velvet Cake and Bourbon Berry Bread Pudding are seasonal favorites available right now, but for those with gluten-sensitivities – Midtown hasn’t forgotten you!  The Gluten-free Torte is so yummy, you won’t miss a thing!  And of course, you can never go wrong with a classic – Five Flavor Pound Cake, Italian Cream Cake, and Chocolate Chocolate.

Midtown Café & Dessertery continues to grow and develop in order to meet the modern demands of our time.  They recently launched online ordering, including a mobile app for ordering on the go.

Don’t forget catering, including breakfast and lunch delivery options!  Midtown delivery for breakfast just made dull Monday morning meetings so much better!  After all, who can complain when someone brings you pancakes?

Midtown Cafe & Dessertery’s catering is EZ Cater-compliant and with the best variety of sandwiches, salads, treats, and more – it’s the ultimate-go-to resource for busy planners!
