Many little girls grow up playing with their mother’s makeup, wearing her jewelry, painting nails, and scooting around the house in high heels that are a few years from fitting. It’s a pretty clear picture of a young girl’s past, but for Janine Berard, it became the foundation of her love of all things beauty and skincare, and the future of Rave Beauty.
Janine Berard grew up in a small northern community in Canada. Like most little girls, she loved playing with makeup and that love didn’t change as she grew up. “After high school, I knew I wanted to work with people helping them feel and look their best,” said Janine. “I decided a career in esthetics was the way I wanted to go. I started my first spa at the age of 18 in my small town, and I later sold it to continue my education. I graduated top of my class with an internationally recognized esthetic program and found myself working for one of the best medical spas in Central Canada. A few years later, I decided to get into teaching and became the education director for a beauty distribution company. While traveling through North America, I found new opportunities and moved to Winston-Salem, NC.” With 12 years of experience in esthetics, Janine started a new life, and after getting to know her new community, she opened her own business, Rave Beauty, with her move to Winston-Salem.
“My business all started back when I was a little girl and has brought me to where I am today. It really began with a dream and a love to work with innovative products and equipment, offering my clients the best treatments to achieve the beautiful, healthy skin they want,” Janine commented. For Janine, her play as a little girl became a dream of helping others with beauty, realized through Rave Beauty. “I pay attention to details in all treatments and brow waxing. I care about each and every guest and want their experiences to be the best treatment they will ever receive. Over the years, I have been amazed by the loyalty of my customers and am very fortunate to be able to do what I love,” Janine said.
