Delana shared that it is a good idea to ensure the HVAC system is running well and that the roof has been checked. Interested buyers will want to know that they are in good working order. Also check windows to ensure that there is no fogging which may be an indicator of broken seals. It’s also a good idea to check attic and crawl spaces for any concerns. The time to discover standing water in a crawlspace, or some other issue, is not just before closing. Checking major systems prior to listing is the best time to find and repair home equipment. Having this type of information already at hand shows that a home has been well cared for in the eyes of potential buyers and can reduce contract negotiations.
