When it comes to downtown dining opportunities, few places are as essential as Jeffrey Adams!  A contemporary dining experience, Jeffrey Adams is a local favorite for a good reason.  The ambiance boasts a look of urban-chic with exposed bricks and charm.  Across the street from The Stevens Center, Jeffrey Adams on Fourth is a farm-to-table dining experience.

Our dining experience this month was inclusive of several new dishes and a few classic favorites.  We started with Meatballs.  The humble meatball is one of my favorite kinds of comfort foods.  Savory and delicious, when they are done well, they are exceptional.  And Jeffrey Adams has concocted a spicy meatball that would make any Italian grandmother proud!  So juicy and delicious, it’s technically an appetizer but delectable enough for an entrée.  Just order a side salad or a side dish, and you have a petite meal that is perfectly flavored and proportioned.

We also tried the brand new Fried Eggplant Napoleon.  This was a really interesting combination of flavors and beautifully presented.  In all honesty, it reminded me of a sophisticated plate of fried green tomatoes, but instead of tomatoes – eggplant.  The fried eggplant is served with fried spinach and topped with Boursin cheese and Romesco sauce.  It’s a delightful blend of flavors and definitely a new favorite of mine!

Next, we sampled a classic favorite.  The Seafood Risotto is a favorite for a good reason.  Chock-full of seafood and cheese, it’s a heaven-on-a-plate kind of dish.  It boasts perfectly cooked risotto with sundried tomatoes and smoked gouda cheese.  Every bite is full of seafood, including shrimp, scallops, and lobster claws.  Spinach adds a nice texture to the dish.

Our last entrée of the evening was the Four Ounce Black Angus Filet Mignon, served with potatoes and asparagus.  The steak (and y’all know I love my steak!) was perfectly cooked and tender.  And the potatoes were magnificent (as they always are at Jeffrey Adams!).  I also want to brag on them for their ability to prepare asparagus.  Asparagus is one of those veggies that I like it when it’s really well done, but not something I reach for normally.  I found this asparagus to be perfectly prepared and delicious!

We wrapped up our meal with a slice of classic Cheesecake!  Creamy and delicious with a rich and buttery graham cracker crust, this dessert is a decadent way to wrap up a meal!

It’s always a joy to visit Jeffrey Adams on Fourth!  Foodies all around agree that it’s amazing and a true culinary experience.  Their local, farm-fresh produce, including produce grown on their own farm (Andrews Farm in King), lets you dine confident that you have a meal made of the freshest quality ingredients.  Visit soon, and be sure to tell them that Rosey sent you!
